Our teaching staff consists of properly qualified professional teachers of  Russian as a foreign language, English or French. They have experience in teaching languages in Russian and overseas universities, companies in Russia and abroad. We never employ unqualified teachers and we have an active in-house teacher development and training programmes.

All our teachers are native speakers and hold a university degree either in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language or Linguistics. We encourage our teachers to learn new languages, because we believe that having this experience as students is a valuable source for further improvement of their professional skills. All teachers speak English and/or French, which is really helpful in the beginners’ courses.

Our teachers apply a variety of techniques and methods ranging from introduction to the Russian language history, from etymology and comparative linguistics to role-play, live discussions and creative work (drawing, story telling) in the class.

All our teachers are paid to keep up to date and attend conferences and in-service training courses.  Members of the teaching and academic management staff regularly give talks and lead workshops at international and national teachers’ conferences and seminars. They are also regularly observed by their colleagues and our senior academic staff.
